Gender equality is crucial for development, yet women in Pakistan are becoming increasingly vulnerable to gender-based marginalization and violence. To address these challenges, gender-sensitive resilience measures and women’s development initiatives must be a central part of the national discourse. Chromatic believes that gender equality can only be achieved when women and men have the same opportunities, rights, and obligations in all aspects of life. This includes equal distribution of power and influence, as well as equal opportunities for financial independence, education, and realizing personal ambitions. Gender equality is also a cross-cutting theme that runs through all of Chromatic’s programs, as it is essential to achieving sustainable development and building stronger, more resilient communities.
